New Council Membership Specialist for Service Unit

We had the opportunity to meet our new Membership Specialist, Sarah Cash

Her phone number is 651-251-1276 and her email address is sarah.cash@girlscoutsrv.org

Going forward she is our contact at the council, not Maylee.  Feel free to call Sarah anytime.

Service Unit Goal Recap - Katie

Here is a recap of Forest Lake’s Goals.

99% girl membership (Achieved)

84% participation in cookie program (need to work on this for next year, should be at 90%)

74% girl retention (missed by 1%)

76% troops have at least one trained leader-FL has 70 troops, 53 are trained (trained leader =program age level and basic leadership or the combined trainings, such as Daisy Basic, Brownie Basic, etc.) (should be at 95%)

Met goal of $1500 already and not all numbers are turned in yet

52% SU team members are trained (need to work on this for next year, should be at 90%)  Get your trainings done, will ask for school coordinator training to be at a SU meeting in the fall.

Cookies – Deb/Beth

Incentives keep arriving; Deb will let cookies moms know when they can be picked up once she receives all incentives.

4 girls in our service unit sold over 500 boxes of cookies this year, way to go!

Leader/Daughter Dinner Recap – Shawn

Pictures and Patches were at the meeting to pick up by school.  Most coordinators picked up all the pictures by school otherwise were put in troop folder for August.

The event came within a couple of dollars for budget, great planning and a great event.

Brownie Encampment Recap – Liz

Great feedback from the event

One concern or idea for next years encampment is to start planning earlier so troops can get their housing information earlier.

Annual Giving

We have made our service unit goal of $1500, meaning our Service Unit will now received a percentage of money collected from our service unit.  There is also a mailing of annual giving envelopes going out to all schools that did not have a formal Annual Giving Ask this week.  If you had taken envelopes at the April meeting to give to your troop(s), they will also be getting an envelope in the mail.

Fourth of July Parade

Interest Sign Up, Volunteer to Coordinate

We had 3 troops sign up for the parade, but no one to coordinate it.  If you would like to coordinate the parade, please contact Katie, Lisa or Kristen.  We need someone to volunteer.
